GoLove vs Kindroid: a closed front door and an open one
Kindroid's public site is a marketing page with log in and sign up at the top. The product, and the price, are both behind it.

What Kindroid claims
Kindroid's homepage leads with an AI you will actually want to talk to and an AI friend who listens, remembers, and grows with you every day. The named capabilities are memory, seeing their face, hearing their voice, and bringing them into a group.
The character sketches on the page lean literary rather than explicit — an aspiring rockstar with vulnerability, a marine biologist with a warm heart, an open-ended adventure with competing houses. The positioning is companionship and roleplay with some craft to it, not adult media generation.
What you can check before registering
Very little. The public site is marketing; log in and sign up sit at the top, and the product begins behind them. There is no pricing page and no browsable catalogue.
So the memory claim — the central one — cannot be tested until you have an account. That is the same position Nomi, Replika and Character AI take, and the opposite of GoLove's.

The test both claims deserve
Memory and growth are the two words doing the work in Kindroid's pitch, and they are testable. Mention a specific detail early, talk about unrelated things for forty messages, then refer back without restating it. Repeat the next day in a fresh session — that is what separates session context from real persistence.
On GoLove you can run this test in the next two minutes at no cost. On Kindroid you can run it after creating an account. That difference does not tell you which product has the better memory; it tells you which claim you can check before committing.
Not really the same purchase
Kindroid's public framing is a companion with character and craft, without adult media generation at the centre. GoLove is explicitly 18+ with images, video and a series section.
Someone choosing between them is usually choosing between two different intentions rather than two versions of the same thing, and the decision should turn on that rather than on which page looked nicer.
What you give up by not being able to look
Kindroid's homepage does its job well — the character sketches are written with more care than most of this category manages, and they make you curious. That is precisely the problem with judging it: curiosity is what the page is for, and it is not evidence.
The specific thing you cannot evaluate is the one the pitch rests on. Memory and growth are claims about behaviour over time, and no amount of landing-page copy can demonstrate them. Every app here says it remembers you; the ones that genuinely do and the ones that reset after twenty messages produce identical marketing.
So the practical asymmetry is not that Kindroid is worse. It is that you will be deciding about Kindroid on the strength of its writing about itself, and about GoLove on the strength of its writing to you. Those are very different kinds of evidence, and only one of them is the product.
